Chapter 3 - Primary Layers of Fall Protection

Using the WAH Guide as the program workbook, this program defines and discusses common primary layers of fall protection. Building on previous chapters, the prevention of a fall could be considered just as important as the secondary protective layer of fall protection. This chapter reviews the most common supporting layers and how they relate to the use of fall protection equipment and comply with common occupational regulations. This chapter is important in understanding compliance, identifying solutions, and determining what, if any, additional fall protection measures are needed when addressing a fall hazard.
