Chapter 6 - Fall Protection Equipment

Using the WAH Guide as the program workbook, this program builds on Chapter6 and looks specifically at categories of fall protection equipment. Basic design, function, and use of commercially available fall protection equipment is reviewed in this chapter. Equipment includes harnesses, energy absorbing lanyards, self-retracting devices, lifelines and rope devices, horizontal lifelines, anchorage connectors, connecting hardware, ladder safety systems, descent control devices, ready-made rescue devices and common inspection points of these items.
